The Fusion Reactor #97 - Let's Dance, part 2

No, David Bowie didn't make a sequel. Not to my knowledge, anyhow. I made the sequel, if you must know. I did a show on songs to "dance" to a while back, but it felt somehow incomplete. I stayed up late at night for weeks, wondering what went wrong and how I could fix it. What was the key? Where was the missing piece? Why am I making up this totally exaggerated story?

Truth be told, I looked at my available list of songs and quickly saw how I could improve on the original by expanding the concept only slightly. So that is what I did, and this is what I played:

Bill Bruford Making a Song and Dance 05:56
Al DiMeola Midnight Tango 07:28
Al DiMeola Dark Eye Tango 05:26
John Abercrombie Ralph's Piano Waltz 04:44
Joe Satriani Satch Boogie 03:14
Herbie Hancock Rain Dance 09:20
Coste Apetrea Baghdad Boogie 06:20
Divine In Sight Sorrow & Promise - IV. Waltz of the Plastic Dolls 04:14
Jerry Goodman Waltz of the Windmills 05:57
Jerry Goodman Orangutango 06:34
National Health Lethargy Shuffle and The Mind-Your-Backs Tango 09:20
National Health Lethargy Shuffle, Pt. 2 04:36
De Gladas Kapell Havanna Boogie 06:28
Fourth Estate Mason Street Shuffle 03:41
Mist Season Cosmic Wardance 05:18
Panzerpappa Jiddisk Juksepolka - Jiddish Fake Polka 04:07
Isotope Cowshed Shuffle 06:19
Tony Levin Sabre Dance 05:08
Ozric Tentacles The Aum Shuffle 03:05
Genesis Dance On A Volcano 05:55
Brand X Euthanasia Waltz 05:32

Now rest. You'll need it after all that dancing. You're not as young as you once were. Remember the days when you could dance to prog and fusion for two hours straight? Well, if you think you're gonna make it even a half hour these days, you'd better get back in shape. And I'm talking to myself here too. It's a good thing dancing is such good exercise.
